Public transport: Margaret Court Arena is accessible by tram, train and bus. The arena is walking distance from Richmond Station and Flinders Street Station

Important information regarding re-sold tickets: Margaret Court Arena would like to remind guests to take care when purchasing tickets to this show. While we strongly discourage it, we anticipate that some fans will have purchased tickets from outlets other than Ticketek Australia, our only authorized ticket seller. This means there is a chance that the tickets may be fraudulent or invalid, and won’t allow entry to the concert.

As this can often not be determined until the patron is entering the venue, we strongly advise parents who have purchased tickets from unauthorised outlets to wait until their children have successfully entered the venue before departing the area. For more information on re-sale tickets, please see our guide to avoiding ticket scalpers.

Entrances: General Admission guests will queue and enter through the north west entry at the Tanderrum Bridge. Reserve seat guests will queue and enter through the main enrance at Garden Square. A venue map can be found here.

Cloaking: Margaret Court Arena offers cloaking free of charge at our external cloaking booth adjacent to the main entrance. Cloaking space is limited and we cannot accept large bags such as suitcases and duffle bags, camping equipment including tents and chairs or any other oversized items.

It can take up to 30 minutes to drop off and collect items from the cloakroom, so where possible please leave unnecessary items at home to avoid additional delays.

General Admission Wristbands: General Admission guests will queue and enter through the Tanderrum Bridge entrance. Upon entry, guests will be required to swap their ticket for a wristband to allow access to the floor. Staff will be located inside the Tanderrum Bridge Entrance.

Only hard copy tickets printed on Ticketek ticket stock are valid for access to the GA floor. Wristbanding staff will not accept printed Email/EZY tickets or mobile phone tickets. Any guests holding an Email/EZY or mobile ticket for the GA floor will be directed to scan out of the venue to the Box Office and exchange for a Hard Copy ticket, and may then re-enter the venue via security screening.

Guests wishing to keep their hard copy ticket as a memento from the event will be able to collect their tickets from the Information Booth (Opposite Door 7) after the show.

General Admission Queuing: Margaret Court Arena does not encourage guests to queue early, and queuing will not be permitted until 8am on the show day. Early arriving patrons please ensure you eat and drink throughout the day to look after yourself. Please be aware that queuing spaces are unsheltered.

Venue security will not be responsible for keeping the order of the line, the line will be self-policed, and we strongly encourage you to look after one another, and respect where each person is in the line. Everyone must join the back of the line on arrival, you may not hold spots in the line for people who have not yet arrived. There will be a Café open and drinking water fountains are available near the queuing area.

Camping within the Melbourne Park precinct is strictly prohibited.

Guest Safety: Margaret Court Arena is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Our staff are here to provide assistance and to enhance your opportunity to have a positive experience. Dancing in the General Admission area may subject patrons to high temperatures and strenuous physical contact and is done at your own risk. Patrons are advised to take note of the following guidelines prior to accessing the General Admission area.

The 1975 at Margaret Court Arena

Stopping in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, the tour will mark the bands first trip to Australia since January 2016, when front-man Matty Healy and his troops were just about to release their wildly popular and critically adored second record I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It.

Certified Platinum in the UK, Gold in the US and hitting Number 1 in countries all over the world (including Australia), I Like It...’ was best described by Drowned in Sound as a “bold body of work that sounds effortless and odd and sophisticated.”

Hailed as 2016’s NME Album of the Year in 2016, it skyrocketed The 1975 into rare air occupied only by some of the biggest bands in the world. Tracks like ‘Love Me’, ‘The Sound’ and ‘Somebody Else’(just three of the staggering seven singles taken from the record) showcased the bands knack for razor sharp pop hooks which frame Healy’s impassioned vocals and dramatic lyricisms with inch-perfect precision.

They will be joined by incredible Filipino musician No Rome for this sold-out show, with the London-based star set to wow audiences with his trademark dream-pop sound including tracks from his brand new EP Crying In The Prettiest Places.
