Margaret Court Arena will make its debut as a live music venue on Melbourne Cup Eve with a free event featuring acclaimed Australian artists Dan Sultan, British India, Husky and Lanie Lane.
Frontier Touring and Mushroom are teaming up with not-for-profit organisation beyondblue to host the event – the Mushroom ‘Free For All’ – on Monday 3 November.
The free, all-ages concert will be the first public event at Margaret Court Arena, which has undergone a significant makeover as part of a $700 million redevelopment of Melbourne Park.
The new venue is an exciting addition to Melbourne’s live music scene. With typical concert capacities ranging from around 5,000 to 8,000, the venue’s flexibility ensures an intimate experience and atmosphere for artists and fans alike.
A number of international and domestic acts are already booked to play at the arena, including Sam Smith, The Black Keys, Billy Idol, Yellowcard and Hilltop Hoods.
Frontier and mushroom.com members will be able to purchase tickets to the premiere event from October 27, while general public tickets will be available from October 28.
Tickets are available via Ticketek.
